Terms of Use

Ça va? for iPhone and iPad · Effective 30 October 2026

Ça va? is a personal journal for you and your family. These terms apply in addition to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, under which you received the app. By using Ça va? you accept them.

Not medical advice

Ça va? is not a medical device. It gives no medical advice, diagnoses nothing and does not replace a doctor, a therapist or any other professional. Do not make decisions about anyone’s health based on what the app shows.

Not for emergencies

Nobody watches what you record, and Ça va? never alerts anyone: not the people you share with, not the developer, not emergency services. If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe).

Reminders

Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. They depend on iOS, your settings, Focus and the state of the device, and can be late or not arrive at all. Do not rely on them for anything important.

Your data and iCloud

Ça va? has no server of its own: what you record is stored on your device and in your iCloud account, as the privacy policy describes. The app needs iCloud to work. If data is lost or damaged on your devices or in iCloud, the developer cannot recover it. Use Export Reports to keep your own copy.

Sharing

When you share a person, everyone you invite sees all of that person’s reports, notes, photos and locations, including the ones added before the invitation, until you stop sharing. Choose who you invite carefully. Reports already seen or exported by someone you invited cannot be taken back.

The people you log about

Only record information about people who agree to it, or whom you are responsible for, such as your children. You are responsible for what you record about others and for sharing it. Ça va? is not designed for children: a child should use it only with a parent.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ça va? to monitor anyone without their knowledge, to harass anyone or for any unlawful purpose.

No warranty

Ça va? is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without any warranty. The developer does not promise that it will work without interruption or errors, that reminders will arrive, or that data will sync or be kept.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of Ça va? or from being unable to use it, including lost or wrong data, missed reminders, or data seen by someone you shared it with. Liability for intent or gross negligence, and any rights that the law of your country does not allow to be excluded, remain unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
