Ça va?

Family journal for iPhone and iPad

Ça va? is a daily record of how the people you care for are doing. Note each day how someone feels, add a note when there is more to say, and share a person with your family so that everyone sees and fills in the same calendar.

Questions

Do I need iCloud?

Yes. Ça va? keeps its data in your iCloud account, which is also how it reaches your other devices and your family. Sign in to iCloud in Settings. What you log while offline is kept on the device and sent as soon as iCloud is reachable again.

How do I share a person with my family?

Open the person, choose Edit Person, then Share with Family, and send the invitation. For each person you invite you choose whether they can only view the reports or also add their own. To remove someone or stop sharing, choose Manage Sharing in the same place.

What do the people I share with see?

Everything about the person you share: the name, the photo and all the reports, with their notes, the name of who wrote them and the location if one was attached. Your reminders are never shared.

How do I stop seeing a person someone shared with me?

In Edit Person, choose Leave. The person disappears from your list; the owner keeps all the reports.

Why does Ça va? ask for my location?

Only to add where you were to a report, and only if you ask for it: turn on Attach Location when writing a report, or turn on Add location to quick logs in Reminders so that reports logged from a reminder or a widget include it. The second needs location access set to Always. Without location access, everything else works.
