Privacy Policy

BChess for iPhone, iPad and Mac · Effective 16 October 2026

BChess collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it makes no network requests at all. The chess engine runs on your device.

Data stored on your device

On iPhone and iPad, your games are stored in the app’s folder on your device (visible in the Files app) and in your own device backups. On the Mac, each game is a file that you save where you choose. The app’s settings are stored on your device. None of this is ever sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app on iPhone or iPad removes its games from the device.

Sharing

When you share or copy a game, BChess hands it to the destination you pick, such as Messages, Mail or the clipboard. Nothing is shared unless you do it yourself.

Crash reports

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may send the developer anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. They do not identify you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
